Sanders Industries Acquires Northern Engineering

Sheffield, UK based company to add product and technology to other Sanders Industries' Polymer Division companies

Buena Park, California, May 1, 2006. Sanders Industries today announced the acquisition of Northern Engineering Ltd. located in Sheffield, UK. Established in 1983, Northern Engineering is a privately owned company and a leading producer of technical sealing components for specialized applications to customers in a number of industry segments.

Northern Engineering specializes in the design and manufacture of precision engineered, high quality Teflon® encapsulated O-rings. In addition to its extensive product line, the Company serves a broad international market offering depth of technology and O-ring know-how.

Sanders Industries is a privately held company specializing in acquiring and operating niche oriented manufacturing companies that mold or shape polymers and metals into products for a broad spectrum of OEM markets. This acquisition is highly synergistic with the Sanders Industries Polymer Division companies, Creavey Seal of Pennsylvania, acquired in May, 2005 and Rubbercraft Corporation of California.

As a subsidiary of Sanders, Northern Engineering will report to Lloyd Wallis, President of Rubbercraft. Commenting on the acquisition, Lloyd Wallis said," Northern Engineering is an excellent fit within our product scope and service to our customers. We are now able to serve a wider customer base geographically and deliver a broad O-ring product line to customers worldwide". Paul Short, Managing Director of Northern Engineering added, "we are pleased to be part of the Sanders family of companies. Creavey Seal and Bobber Products® Acquired by Sanders Industries

Buena Park, CA Sanders Industries announces the acquisitions of Creavey Seal, Olyphant, Pennsylvania and Bobber Products, Fullerton, California.

Both companies are highly synergistic to Sanders' Rubbercraft® Corporation, Gardena, California.

Creavey Seal is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Teflon® coated O-rings to the industrial, aerospace, and fluid handling markets. Creavey's core products are specialty seals for high performance applications, specifically, temperature, abrasion, pressure and chemical resistance. All of its products are manufactured at the Company's facilities in Pennsylvania.

Bobber Products is a manufacturer of miscellaneous molded rubber goods for the industrial, aerospace, automotive, and commercial hardware markets. Bobber's core products are low volume engineered parts including rubber to metal bonded applications. All of its products are manufactured at the Company's facilities in Fullerton, California.

Sanders Industries is a privately held operating company specializing in acquiring and operating middle market manufacturing companies. Both acquisitions represent highly synergistic complements to Sanders Industries' Rubbercraft Corporation of California.
