Built Clean. Built for Space.

Space-Ready Production From Mix to Finish

Rubbercraft has established a dedicated Environmentally Controlled Room (ECR) specifically for space applications, ensuring compliance with the stringent cleanliness/FOD requirements unique to the space industry.

Designed to support critical production processes, the ECR is equipped with the capability to both mix and calendar materials, allowing Rubbercraft to maintain strict process control and deliver components that meet demanding spaceflight specifications.

The ECR is now fully operational, supporting current production needs while positioning Rubbercraft for future growth in the space market. Plans are already underway to further expand our ECR capabilities to meet the growing demand from our customers in the space industry.

A Closer Look at Our Hardest Work

Hydrazine-Compatible Propellant Diaphragms

Space fuel systems operate in conditions where failure is not an option and material substitution is not available. Hydrazine is selected for its density and thrust efficiency, but it imposes strict requirements on every elastomer it contacts — chemical compatibility, long-term degradation resistance, and FOD-controlled cleanliness throughout manufacturing.

Our EPDM diaphragm systems regulate fuel movement within propellant tanks, maintain pressure balance, and deliver consistent fuel flow to thrusters across mission lifecycles measured in years.

Hydrazine Resistance

EPDM formulation optimized specifically for hydrazine compatibility — selected after material qualification, not adapted from a standard catalog.

Diaphragm Expulsion Efficiency

95%+ efficiency maintained in collapsed configurations. IML bottle arc length preserved through repeated deployment cycles.

Optimized Geometry

5″ up to +35″ diameter range. Our diaphragms are designed with a collapsible structure that reduces tooling costs and streamlines the manufacturing process.

FOD-Controlled Manufacturing

Manufactured in environments engineered to prevent foreign object debris — critical for systems where a single contamination event can compromise the mission.

Proven in the Most Demanding Environments

Why Rubbercraft for Space & Missile
